The 25th annual Falls Festival is going to be one for the books, and there's no doubt that it should top the list. Held in Byron Bay, Lorne, Marion Bay, and Fremantle, this music and arts festival will host world-famous artists like Flume, Fleet Foxes, Run The Jewels, Foster the People, and Angus & Julia Stone, with plenty more artists joining them. Loads more artists will be announced soon, so don’t miss your chance to see your favorite bands live at the end of December!

What could be more epic than going to a music festival on the first day of the New Year?! Held in the heart of Sydney in a park called “The Domain”, the 17th year of Field Day won’t disappoint. The lineup couldn’t be better, with artists such as Flume, Schoolboy Q, DJ Snake, Vince Staples, and DRAM all making their way to Australia. Right now the event is sold out, but keep your eyes peeled for official resale tickets!

Maybe you’ve heard of this one. An EDM music festival that was started in London made its way to Australia, becoming one of Australia’s biggest electronic music festivals. Electric Gardens boasts four different stages with over 20 artists performing. Headlining in Sydney at the end of January is the world-renowned Fatboy Slim, Gorgon City, and Armand Van Helden. This highly sought-after event sold out last year, and it’s already on its way to do the same. The third release of tickets are out now, so get them while they last!

This festival was born in Melbourne in 2005, and started as a small indie music fest. Eventually, it grew over the years to become one of the most sought-after festivals. Today, it is held in five different cities in Australia, including Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Fremantle. This year’s lineup is worth the hype. Acts from all over the world are heading to Laneway Festival this February, such as Anderson Paak. & The Free Nationals, BONOBO, Mac Demarco, Father John Misty, and Sylvan Esso. Tickets are still available, so get them before they run out!

Escape to a "Lost Paradise" when you head to Glenworth Valley for this festival. Camp under the stars, sing karaoke, get a massage, do some yoga...are we missing anything? Right. The music is set to be incredible. Come listen to RÜFÜS, Matt Corby, and Little Dragon, plus a bunch of other artists. Check out the lineup here  and end the year with a bang!

This year marks Syndey’s 14th year of Harbourlife, and it’s coming up quick, hosted on November 18th. Essentially, Harbourlife is Sydney’s best waterside dance party. Complete with some of the hottest DJs, Harbourlife will be a night to remember. You’ll be dancing under flashing lights across from the Sydney Opera House while you bump to artists like Jax Jones and Set Mo!

Unify Gathering is unlike any other festival on this list, for one reason: It’s heavy metal. More specifically, it’s Australia’s only heavy metal camping festival, held in Gippsland, Victoria. Get a group of friends to rent a house, or embrace the outdoors and grab some tents and enjoy three days of headbanging music. A whopping 29 acts will be performing over Friday, Saturday and Sunday in January, headlined by legends like Parkway Drive and The Affinity Affliction.

Don’t have FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)...Get tickets for FOMO instead! With only one main stage, you’ll never have to pick between artists, meaning you’ll get to see them all. The lineup is especially good this year, and you’re not going to want to miss these artists: RL Grime, Kaytranada, SZA, and Post Malone, to name a few. Catch FOMO in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane, all in the month of January.

No New Year’s Eve plans yet? No worries. For the first time ever, Victoria Park is holding this live music event with artists such as Haiku Hands, Hot Dub Time Machine, and Vera Blue, among others. The event will have two stages where artists will perform from the afternoon hours into the late night. Ring in the New Year with some great music, food, champagne, and last but not least: fireworks.

Make your way to Lardner Park in Victoria for this festival. Stay just for NYE, or choose between two, three, and four day passes for the ultimate music experience. This festival isn’t just popular for the artists it attracts; it also brings in a collection of art installations, fancy food trucks, boutique bars, and even morning yoga. This year Beyond The Valley is bringing in some exceptional artists, including B.Traits, Hayden James, Cut Copy, and San Cisco.
