January 20th, 2026
Guatemala has declared a temporary state of siege following recent gang-related violence. The situation appears contained to prisons and limited areas of Guatemala City, which is not included in our itineraries. While groups transit through the city for international flights, there is currently no impact to airport operations. We are monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates if conditions change
