Make a difference with Small Change

We launched our Small Change initiative in 2017 and are on a journey with our travellers, suppliers and local partners to make a significant positive impact on the destinations we visit.

We believe that responsible travel has the ability to change the world for the better. It can benefit local communities, inspire cultural exchange, and raise awareness for social, ethical and environmental issues.

Protecting the environment

Protecting the beautiful destinations we visit is one of our highest priorities. As well as promoting and practicing sustainable travel, we conduct regular eco-audits on all our trips and suppliers to ensure we are minimising our impact on the environment.

Supporting local communities

We ensure that every trip we run has a direct and positive impact on the local communities we visit. Through strong local partnerships we work to deliver amazing experiences that benefit the lives our suppliers, their families and their communities.

Cultural exchange & education

Travel is the best way to inspire cultural exchange, leading to a greater understanding and real connections between people of different cultures. We also understand the importance of education and have several initiatives that support schools, monasteries and local charities.

Animal welfare & conservation

The health and wellbeing of animals is extremely important to us and sadly we have seen first hand how tourism can contribute to their mistreatment. We support a number animal welfare organisations and only visit vetted and approved wildlife sanctuaries or rescue centres.

Since 2019 we've been planting trees every time someone books a tour. Then in late 2023 we began a new partnership with Path Net Zero to accurately measure every tours emissions, and with Veritree to plant trees to offset those emissions. We are now very proud to say that every INTRO tour is 100% carbon neutral.
