In line with the World Travel & Tourism Council's Global Safe Travel Protocols below are some of the extra measures we've implemented to ensure you stay safe and healthy on your next epic adventure with us.

Our dedicated reservations and support teams will be ready around the clock to answer any of your questions or concerns. We stay up to date with relevant restrictions and measures in place regarding Covid and will ensure the start of your awesome adventure is totally stress-free.

Our staff are committed to both your enjoyment and wellbeing, and will answer any questions you may have. INTRO leaders are also supported 24/7 by our dedicated operations team who are there to help you in any situation. All group leaders have undergone revised safety and hygiene training regarding Covid.

Throughout your trip we may use a variety of transport, from tuk tuks, taxis, private minivan’s, ferries, trains and planes. We are working closely with all operators to ensure that the relevant social distancing and hygiene standards are adhered to. Where necessary, this may include specific seat allocations, regular deep cleaning, the use of facial coverings and hand sanitisers.

We work closely with our trusted accommodation and activity providers to ensure that all recommended hygiene and social distancing protocols are maintained. Some of these increased measures will include the daily cleaning of your room with the focus of disinfecting all surfaces, and social distancing in public areas. Also where needed we may adapt room allocations to ensure social distancing can be maintained.

No trip is complete without sampling the local food. We always encourage group members to try as much of the local cuisine as possible and will continue to do so whilst ensuring that the appropriate hygiene and social distancing standards are being met. We always try to reserve private areas in restaurants and where possible we will reserve outside seating options.

At INTRO we want all group members to feel safe and comfortable whilst travelling with us. As a result of Covid, the use of facial coverings, hand sanitisers, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting processes, as well as social distancing measures will be practiced where appropriate or deemed necessary on our tours. How does INTRO decide it's safe to travel?

Before we resume operations, we are guided by the relevant government authorities, travel advisories and a variety of other reliable sources.

Covid Travel Requirements?

Your destination or airline may have COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements to enter. It is your responsibility to adhere to these requirements to ensure your arrival is not impacted and you can join your tour without issue.

Do I need a negative Covid test to join?

We do not require a negative Covid test result to travel with us unless it is as an entry requirement of the country you are travelling to. However we may ask you to sign a declaration before you start your trip confirming you have no Covid related symptoms.

How will social distancing be managed on tour?

INTRO group members will form their own bubble of close contacts for the duration of your trip. Your group leader will be there to advise on physical distancing when it is required. As responsible travellers, anyone who chooses to travel with us has a duty of care to themselves and their fellow travellers.

Have you reduced your group sizes?

Our trips are already considered ‘small group tours’ compared to most other operators. However for now we have capped all groups sizes at 16, which is our average group size pre-covid anyway.

Do I need to bring hand sanitiser?

We are working with all our local operators to provide hand sanitiser upon entry to accommodations, activities, restaurants and transportation. However, we recommend bringing your own hand sanitiser for ease and peace of mind.

Will I have to wear a mask?

INTRO supports the use of masks to help prevent the spread of Covid. When physical distancing is difficult, the use of masks is recommended, such as on public transport. The use of a mask will depend on the government advice in your destination. Your group leader will inform you of the frequency and main locations of where you may need to wear a mask.

Will there be changes to my trip?

We do not anticipate any major changes to our planned itineraries. We are continually in communication with our activity and transport operators. Should any changes be made which are significant, our operations team will make arrangements to minimise the change to your itinerary and we will keep you updated.

Will I have to share a room?

Our trips are based on twin, double or occasional multi share accommodation so if you're a solo traveller you will be sharing with fellow travellers unless your trip provides single person supplements and you have selected this option. Where possible however, we have reduced multi share accommodations to be twin share if available.

What happens if there's a suspected case on tour?

Following the advice of local health authorities, we will be there to help anyone displaying symptoms access medical care as quickly as possible should it be required. We will help contact family and friends if needed as well as support with translation services at hospitals or medical centres. We can also assist you in contacting insurance companies and help with any return travel arrangements should you need them.

What happens if there's a confirmed case on tour?

Our full health and safety protocols would be enacted to reduce any further spread of the virus. This will include informing the relevant local health authorities and informing your fellow group members. Should it be required, and depending on your destination, we will advise you and your group members of any requirement to self-isolate or quarantine. Following the advice of local health authorities, we will be there to help you access medical care as quickly as possible should it be required. We will help contact family and friends if needed as well as support with translation services at hospitals or medical centres. We can also assist you in contacting insurance companies and help with any return travel arrangements should you need them.

What happens if borders close whilst on tour?

With over 15 years operational experience dealing with all kinds of crisis and in country issues we are well equipped to provide you all the support you’ll need to either alter and continue your travels, or return safely home as soon as possible.

Does my travel insurance cover me for Covid?

We recommend contacting your policy provider to check if you are insured for any Covid related claims. Many policies include various cover for Covid related situations.
