When is the best time to visit the Philippines?

The Philippines is warm and dry across the months we operate, so it's great to go at any time between October and June. December to March brings cooler temperatures and clear skies, while April to June is the hottest stretch with the calmest seas. Any rain that does fall is usually short-lived, an hour or two at most before the sun returns. INTRO doesn't operate tours during the main typhoon season in July, August and September, so you can book with confidence knowing you'll get the best of the Philippines.

How many days should I spend in the Philippines?

INTRO's Philippines tours run from 13 to 17 days and the right length depends on what you want to get out of it. Both trips start in Manila. 13 days covers Moalboal, Coron, the boat expedition and El Nido, the absolute best of the islands. 17 days adds more time to explore Palawan, including a cruise along the underground river and extra days to soak up the islands at your own pace, finishing back in Manila and making it easy to get home.

How much does a trip to the Philippines cost?

We include all accommodation, transport, activities, some meals, plus your group leader. On top of the tour price, expect to budget around £300 / $600 AUD / $400 USD / €350 for spending money, extra meals, drinks and any onward travel.

Is the Philippines good for solo travellers?

The Philippines is a great destination for solo travel and group tours are the best way to do it. Most people on INTRO Philippines trips travel solo. You'll join a small group of 18 to 40s from all over the world who are there for the same reasons you are. No awkward introductions, no navigating unfamiliar islands on your own. Most people arrive not knowing anyone and leave with friendships that last well beyond the trip.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and can change, so it's worth checking well in advance. INTRO can't apply for your visa, so head to the relevant embassy or consulate website to confirm what you need. There's also information in the INTRO Travel App to help you get sorted.
