Making a positive difference to the amazing destinations we travel is at the core of what we do. Small Change is our own socially conscious initiative aimed at making the world that little bit better place to explore!
Check out the #SmallChange you'll be part of while doing this tour. Click hereYes. Lots of people on our trips are travelling solo. But by doing our trip you’ll instantly be part of a group, so it’s a great way to meet others and make friends! Most of our accommodation is twin or triple share, so we will put you in a room with someone of the same gender.
You can start chatting to people in your group and other travellers before you leave. Just join our South East Asia Facebook group!
Travel insurance is compulsory for all our trips. Click here to organise a quote and policy for yourself.
Just let us know who you’re travelling with after you’ve booked and your relationship to them, and we’ll organise appropriate room shares for you. Our booking system takes one booking at a time, so if you’re booking for multiple people just complete a separate booking for each person. It’s super quick and easy!
No worries. Unless you tell us otherwise we’ll automatically book you into our accommodation from the day you arrive, and then you can pay for your extra nights direct with us. If you’re staying at our accommodation we will provide an airport pick up even if you arrive early.
There’s never a bad time to travel in South East Asia. Most months of the year you will experience both sunshine and possibly some rain. It’s usually quite hot and humid most of the time, but it can occasionally get cold, especially in the north of Vietnam between November and February, so it’s always best to bring a couple of warm layers with your summer clothing.
All your activities, accommodation, transport and some meals are included with Epic Asia, so you’ll just need money for some meals, drinks, shopping and any onward travel. We recommend you bring at least £1000 / $1800 spending money.
It’s best to take a Visa or Master Card debit, credit or travel money card. There are ATM’s available throughout South East Asia so it’s easy to get access to cash. Some places accept credit card but not all.
Most accommodations we stay have free Wi-Fi available. South East Asia's network quality is often lower than you’re used to but you can generally connect and do basic stuff.
We always recommend travelling with a backpack and packing light! 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. It’s generally quite hot in South East Asia so dragging around a huge suitcase is not much fun. There is luggage storage at the airport or at some accommodations if needed.
Your destination or airline may have COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements to enter. It is your responsibility to adhere to these requirements to ensure your arrival is not impacted and you can join your tour without issue.
